Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Retail Professional Accelerator™, enrollment, grants, and results.

Enrollment & Getting Started
How do I get started?
Every engagement begins with a free 30-minute strategy call with Julie. She’ll assess your store’s current metrics, team size, and goals, then build a custom training plan. There’s no commitment required — it’s a conversation about what’s possible for your store. Book your call here.
Can I enroll just myself as a manager without training my team?
Yes — a manager can enroll solo. However, the HIGH-END™ framework, GROW™ de-escalation, and sensory merchandising only produce revenue when your floor staff know the system. A trained manager with an untrained team has the playbook but no one to run it. Julie will show you during the strategy call why certifying even your key employees multiplies the ROI dramatically. Most managers who start solo add team seats within the first month.
Can a supervisor enroll without a manager?
No. The Supervisor Track is designed as a cost-effective add-on for stores that want a second trained leader without paying the full Manager Track price. It requires an active Manager enrollment because the operational tools (Revenue Intelligence Tracker, KPI dashboards, coaching calls) are managed at the Manager level. A supervisor enrolling alone wouldn’t have access to the systems that make the training actionable.
Can individual budtenders enroll on their own?
The Retail Worker Track (Cannabis Sommelier™ Certification) is primarily deployed by managers to their teams as part of the Accelerator. However, individual budtenders and cannabis professionals can enroll in the Cannabis Sommelier™ Certification as a standalone credential through the Cannabis Sommelier website. Contact us for individual enrollment options.
What’s the time commitment?
The program is designed for active retail managers. Weekly commitment: ~3 hours (60 min video instruction + 120 min on-floor application integrated into daily management duties). The Cannabis Sommelier™ Certification adds ~40 hours of self-paced training over the 90-day period. You don’t need to step away from the floor — implementation happens during normal operations.
Program & Curriculum
Is this recognized like Selling It Right or CannSell?
Selling It Right and CannSell are legal compliance certifications. The Cannabis Sommelier™ is a revenue performance credential. They serve different purposes and complement each other. All participants must already hold a valid provincial cannabis service certificate before enrolling. The Cannabis Sommelier™ Certification is recognized by employers across Canada and the US as the standard for cannabis product expertise and consultative selling.
How long does the program take?
90 days (12 weeks). The 5-phase structure is designed as a sprint: quick wins in the first month, staff certification in weeks 5–6, systems installation in weeks 5–9, performance optimization in weeks 7–10, and graduation with a full ROI review in weeks 11–12. Most stores see measurable AOV improvement by week 3.
Is the training online or in-person?
The Accelerator is delivered virtually — video modules, live Zoom coaching, and virtual group clinics. The Cannabis Sommelier™ Certification offers two delivery formats: Virtual ($995/person with 5×30-min coaching sessions) or In-Person ($2,500/person with 2-day live classroom). The in-person option is available for all three tracks and can be combined with the virtual Accelerator modules.
What proprietary tools are included?
Five frameworks power the program: the HIGH-END™ Sales Engine (9-lesson consultative selling system), Cannabis Expression Compass™ (3-layer product analysis), GROW™ De-Escalation Framework (ethical objection handling), Cannabis Sommelier Quality Grading Tool (100-point scorecard), and Repeat Harvest™ System (5-tier RFM customer retention). Plus dozens of templates, trackers, signage, and reference materials. See the full curriculum.
Pricing & Grant Funding
How does the Canada Job Grant work?
The grant covers 66–100% of eligible training costs depending on your province (BC: 80%, Alberta: 66–100%, Ontario: 83%, Atlantic: up to 100%). CannaReps structures all programs as formal educational tuition and handles the entire application process — documentation, submission, and follow-up. You (the employer) are the applicant. Most grants are approved within 2–4 weeks. Full grant details here.
What does this cost after the grant?
With BC’s 80% coverage: Manager Track: ~$1,000 net. Supervisor Track: ~$700 net. Retail Worker Certification: ~$199 net per person. A typical store (1 manager + 1 supervisor + 5 staff = $13,475 total) pays approximately $2,695 after grant. Payback from the 20% AOV lift: ~3.4 days.
I’m in the US. Is this program available to me?
Absolutely. The program is fully available to US cannabis retailers. The Canada Job Grant doesn’t apply, but the ROI is built on revenue impact, not grant subsidies. A store with 100 daily transactions and a $40 average basket sees $288,000 in additional annual revenue from a 20% AOV lift. At full tuition, the program pays for itself in under 3 weeks. Some US states offer workforce development grants that may offset costs — we can help you explore options. Calculate your ROI with grant set to 0%.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes. We offer flexible payment options including installment plans. Details are discussed during your strategy call with Julie, where she can structure a payment timeline that works with your cash flow and grant reimbursement schedule.
Results & Guarantee
What results can I expect?
The core promise is a 20% increase in Average Order Value (AOV) within the 90-day program. Our documented results range from 20% to 68% AOV lift. For a store with 100 daily transactions at $40 AOV, a 20% lift adds $24,000/month or $288,000/year. Dead stock liquidation typically frees $15K–$40K in cash during the first month. See detailed case studies.
What’s the guarantee?
90-day success guarantee with 30-day extension. If you complete the program and don’t see measurable AOV improvement within 90 days, CannaReps provides a 30-day program extension at no additional cost — including continued coaching — until your targets are met. This isn’t a refund promise. It’s a results commitment. We stay until the numbers move.
How soon will I see results?
Quick wins in the first 48 hours. Module 1 identifies dead stock and high-margin opportunities that can be executed immediately. Most stores see a measurable AOV improvement by week 3. The full 20%+ lift is typically confirmed by week 6 and sustained through graduation at week 12.

90-Day Success Guarantee

If you complete the Retail Professional Accelerator™ and don’t see a measurable improvement in your store’s Average Order Value within 90 days, CannaReps will provide a 30-day program extension at no additional cost — including continued coaching — until you hit your targets.

This isn’t a refund promise. It’s a results commitment. We stay until the numbers move.
